PlanAuthoring suiteauthoring
The Authoring Overview is the readiness home for the selected scope — "Content, portals, releases and insights for the selected project version." It recommends one thing to do next, shows what the signals say, lists what needs attention, and links to every destination. The suite dropdown's description: "Coverage, releases, delivery and next actions".
The readiness hero
One headline, one line of detail and one action, chosen from the scope's state:
| Headline | Action |
|---|---|
| Set up your first portal | Start setup |
| Pick up where you left off — "Your last session was project · env · surface." | Continue authoring |
| Choose what to work on | Choose a project |
| Ready to author | Continue authoring |
Four more states exist — Production is degraded (Inspect production), Checks are failing (Fix checks), A release is deploying (Track deployment), Changes are waiting for review (Review changes) — but their inputs are not connected yet, so they do not appear today.
Signals
| Signal | Reads |
|---|---|
| Content — "Catalog entries carrying documentation." | Computed from the version's path catalog. Review undocumented content opens Scribe |
| Change — "Proposals, edits and reviews waiting on a decision." | Not available yet — the review backend is planned; Not in your plan without scribe |
| Delivery — "Requests, cache hit ratio, latency and errors for production." | Not available yet — the analytics backend is planned; Not in your plan without hosted |
A signal that cannot load reads Could not load; one with nothing yet, No data yet.
Catalog to portal
A new scope shows the setup checklist instead of the work queue — "N of M steps complete", each step Done, Next, To do or Unavailable:
- Choose your catalog
- Select a portal template — needs
slate - Fill documentation gaps — needs
scribe - Review citations and examples — needs
scribe - Preview the portal — needs
slate - Publish to production — needs
hosted
An unavailable step explains itself: "Product is not included in your plan. Ask a tenant admin to enable it." Publish your first portal follows the list.
What needs attention
The work queue — "N items, K blocking" — lists up to eight rows from the catalog; more read "N more items not shown." with See the full, filterable list, which opens Scribe filtered to Needs attention. Today the catalog produces two kinds of row: Undocumented ("No summary or description.") and Stale ("Documentation has not been reviewed in over 90 days."); the other states (Check failed, Degraded, Deploying, Needs review, Blocked, Draft) wait on their backends.
- No scope: "Select a project and version to see what needs attention."
- Nothing to do: "Everything in this catalog is documented and current. Nothing needs attention."
- Catalog unreadable: "The catalog could not be read, so pending work cannot be listed. Retry, or open Scribe to check directly."
Recent releases and Go to
Recent releases explains the Release Center and links Open the Release Center. Go to lists every destination as a card, with Search destinations… ("No destinations match …"); a card you are not entitled to is greyed — "Not included in your plan. Ask a tenant admin to enable X."
