Comments

Comments live on the workspace only. Every class card header, property row and operation lane has a comment button; a badge shows the number of open threads (capped at 99+), and the lens toolbar's Comments button shows the unresolved count for the working set.
Start and follow a thread
- Click the comment button on the element. The popover lists its threads, open ones first, with their replies.
- Write in the composer. Type
@to mention a tenant member. Ctrl / ⌘+Enter posts; Esc closes. - Resolve a thread when it is done; Reopen it if it is not.
Comment mode is on by default and remembered on your device. Deep links carry the thread:
?projectId=…&versionId=…&lens=…&sel=…&comment=<type>:<id>&thread=<id>.
Orphaned threads
Deleting an element does not delete its threads: they become orphaned, listed under the toolbar's Orphaned button and marked Element deleted. From there, Relink to an element (then Attach here on the new element, or Cancel relink), or Attach to version to keep the thread on the version itself.
Limits
- You need the
projects:viewpermission to read and write comments; mentions needmembers:view. - Comments cannot be edited or deleted from the workspace.
- A version holds up to 2,000 threads.
- When the server rate-limits a post, the draft is kept so you can try again.
Reviews of a version — approvals and decisions — are a main-app feature; see Reviews in the Apiome documentation.
