Suite home and navigation

Route/

Studio home

The studio opens on Studio home — "Pick up where you left off, or start something new."

  • Resume — the project and version you last opened, when it still exists in this tenant: its name, version, "last edited …", a schema-quality chip when one has been computed, and Open canvas.
  • Recent — a card per version: project name, version label (or "draft"), a Published (read-only) lock badge, the version message and its age. A project with no versions reads "No versions yet — open a project in the editor to create the first one."
  • Quick actions — New project and Import spec open the main app's projects page; Open Pet Store sample loads a sample project ("Opening sample…").
  • With nothing to show: Design your first schema, with the same three actions.

Cards open the classic Data Designer canvas, or the workspace once your installation has made it the default.

The schema-quality chip reads Q:<score> <grade> — a 0–100 score and an A–F grade computed by the editor's Schema quality pill and cached on your device.

The top bar

Every studio page shares one header:

ControlWhat it does
The suite dropdownEvery Suite surface, grouped Design (Designer, Paths Editor, Workspace) and Authoring (Authoring Overview, Scribe, Slate, Releases, Insights). An entry you are not entitled to shows an access note instead of a link; a surface in preview carries a Preview chip. See Plans and entitlements

Authoring pages add their own scope header — project, version and environment — and a secondary navigation across the authoring surfaces.

Preferences

Preferences (Ctrl / ⌘+,) opens the shared preferences pane with four tabs: Account, Appearance (theme, density, font size), Notifications and Shortcuts ("All keyboard shortcuts"). The theme follows your operating system until you choose Light Mode or Dark Mode; the workspace top bar also has a Toggle theme button.

Window width

The classic canvases need a window at least about 1100 pixels wide; narrower, the studio shows Window narrower than supported instead of the canvas.
